I just had some fun with that wrap and I have one thought to share with you: it's awesome.
I wasn't sure about it, because I'm rubbish at such things. The hardest part was probably doing the measures to not waste too much film.
Here's the detail - rear ashtray cover from my '01 Focus:
It may look easy to wrap, but it's pretty tricky due to small size and thin edges. I know that it doesn't look perfect, and I screwed it up near the bolts. The film is great, after heating it up, it covers everything, even the little cigarette symbol in the middle.
As you can see, I have a lot of film left, so I will do some more stuff - stay tuned! (Always wanted to say/write it :D)

I wonder if all those Roy Orbision fan fic stories will be updated with the new clingwrap technology that's coming out.

It looks great, man! You've got me all excited to do some stuff in my car now. Carbon fiber all the things!

It depends where you live. I paid 5$ for A4 sheet, divided in 3 pieces (they call it 'samples').
What's your daily?

I've heard that carbon fiber is the new black.

I've been thinking about covering the cheesy silver-paint armrests in my car with this stuff. Looks good!

Devil's Advocate:
The entire point of carbon fiber is to replace existing parts with ones that are much lighter, made of carbon fiber. Putting a carbon fiber-look sticker on top of an existing part actually adds weight, however fractionally.
I'm not fond of the overuse of carbon fiber accents, real or otherwise. If it's real, and offering real weight savings, by all means, show it off!

Nice Subie. I have a soft spot for those. CF, real or not, fits them well.

well the 3m stuff appears to have dimension, which is something other CF wraps have lacked

And it's really easy to play with. If I can do it, everybody can.
There's also 3M DI-NOC, very similiar, but it's for architectural purposes. It has thicker fibers, too. 3M Scotchprint 1080 is the one made for automotive industry.
